Paper paper eveywhere…

July 26, 2007

Currently in my illustration/mixed media class we are doing a project for a company called BJBall. The idea behind it is for the class (as individuals) to create a promotional piece for them which will make use of their Harvest Recycled range. Lots of interesting ideas were brought up by the students and I’m sure [...]

Alex Kubalsky interview

July 22, 2007

PingMag are currently hosting an interview with Australian designer Alex Kubalsky. This interview is extremely interesting for anybody wanting to break into the design field. Alex seems like a really down to earth kind of guy and shows that inspiration can come from anywhere, even Mary Poppins.
Check it out here

Flashy!

July 20, 2007

So, I’ve been playing around in Flash doing animation when I started wondering if I could get something that looked good out of it as a still image. After playing with it for a while I came up with what you can see below. It’s a bit reminiscent of a previous Coca-Cola campaign which [...]

Now you see me.

July 17, 2007

When I started this blog (which to be fair wasn’t a long time ago) I made the conscious desicion to try to be anonymous. After much thought and deliberation I’ve changed that choice. That’s it, the end, no more, done (my anonynimity(sp?) that is).

July 17, 2007

Today was my first day back at polytech for the second semester of my second year and I’ve gotta say, it was a good one. The morning started with DC4: Digital Illustration & Design Production.

::EDIT:: unfortunately WordPress will not allow me [...]

Well it’s been a few weeks since my last post. It’s funny how over this time I’ve had a lot of spare time for blogging and exploring the design world but in reality found absolutly no time to do this due to basically relaxing, playing Xbox360 and watching DVD’s with [...]

I saw this earlier today and was totally blown away. Imagine if every photo you uploaded to the internet was visually linked and referenced with meta tags and data? You like the look of that small sign way off in the distance? Well, with Seadragon and Photosynth you can zoom [...]

I’m currently doing a bit of a crash course on Adobe’s Flash CS3. I’ve used it [previous versions of Flash] a small amount in the past but never fully got to grips with it. With that in mind I’ve been looking at various resources around the net and found a [...]
